St John’s Great Horton, Bradford

Youth and Children’s work internship - Full Time

St Johns Great Horton is a lively Church of England church in a diverse and multicultural area of inner-city Bradford. In the past two years our youth and children’s ministry has grown from strength to strength and we want to continue expanding. With the recruitment of a full-time youth worker (Andy Brown) and the help of loyal volunteers we have been able to work in 7 local schools which allow us to preach the gospel boldly and have set up 4 youth orientated projects both within our church and in the community.

We are looking for two children’s and youth work interns to help with this exciting work who are passionate about sharing their faith and growing in their discipleship. They will Join our team and work closely with Andy Brown to continue this work and take it further.

During the year they will receive training by Youth for Christ and part of their ‘Homegrown’ programme to ensure they get the most out of their time at St John’s Great Horton. This involves a 10-day block of training at the start of the year and monthly training at a Youth for Christ hub. For more details please visit https://yfc.co.uk/theyearout/
